What do most of you do when you want to hunt in light rain with your XP Deus? I know I can place my main remote in plastic bag in my pocket or get a waterproof phone case for the remote, but what about the headphones? I have the WS4 backphones which I believe are not waterproof? I have seen other headphones such as Gray Ghost ( I have the amphibians for my Garrett Sea Hunter) that you can purchase for the Deus and snap on the WS4 but again that is not waterproof correct? I suppose I could purchase the WS4 headphone adapter, place the WS4 in a waterproof bag and maybe run a cheap earbud phone to my ears? Thanks!

I have put a plastic bag over other phones, then put a hat on my head. I think if not pooring down they would be ok.

A bag over the remote or put it in a pocket.
FWIW The WS4s are waterproof, although I wouldn't go scuba diving with them.
I've seen videos of them being put into a fishbowl and pulling them back out and they are still running.
I wouldn't worry about the rain on the headphones.
Most of the time if it is raining that hard I get out of it...

You can buy a Rain & Dust cover that made out of black nylon and see through soft plastic that goes over the display screen.
This cover slides over your remote, very light weight and protects the remote from rain, snow and scratches - approx. $15.00 on eBay.
These are real nice - been using mine for 3 years now.
Or you can buy an Arica cell phone case - waterproof down to 100 ft. - approx. $20.00 on eBay.
After using this case on my Deus for a few days - I decided it was just to heavy and bulky - now I just use it for storing my remote and protecting it from damage.

Saran Wrap and a rubber band. Put a rubber band on the shaft and put a couple of twists to make it just tight. It doesn't need to be real tight. Tear a piece of Saran Wrap and center it on the remote. fold it over and put the rubber band over the Saran Wrap to hold it to the shaft. Hunt away! A Ziploc baggie works just as well but doesn't sit down on the face of the remote as well as Saran Wrap. Cheap and effective.
