Xp DEUS II question to CALIBASH

I know you had both DEUS I and now II.
My question is did they beef up where the control box connects to the shaft?
I read where people would lose them in the woods and wonder if it can take a hit from a wave or when diving?

Same connection but comes with a safety strap so you do not lose your remote.
