XP DEUS on the way

jonnied1

New member
I just ordered a new XP. Looks like I have a lot of learning ahead of me. I'm sure I will have many questions too.
Wish me luck.

As someone who also just got an XP Deus, do yourself the biggest favor of buying The Andy Sabisch Deus Handbook. Biggest tip I can give you.

Hi jonnied1, it is not that hard. Do as ChrisMD said and get Andy's book. When you start, just go to pre set's and start there. They work very well for whatever you are hunting for. .As you read Andy's book, you can add things to the preset's and be just fine. At first I though that I would have trouble but with Andy's book and the manual you will be just fine. You can't mess it up if you don't put it in save, when you trun if off it will go back to factory preset. I have only had mine for 5 mo. and have found 12 rings with it so far. Good Luck you will do ok.

I have different advice never used a factory preset program not saying their not good but guys have been using this machine there are better programs out there. Here my advice go watch the videos by gary(expert training) and read the manual online and watch them again and learn what each setting does and then look online for a program or programs that fits your need. . I didnt want to start out with a program that limits its performance so I found some programs that fits my needs and put them in as soon as it came off the truck just my 2 cents. IMO the videos are way better than the book it didnt do much for me I learned more off of youtube but thats just me .If you not comfortable with putting in new programs im sure you will do fine with the factory presets till you get where you are. your gonna love this machine!

There's a lot of real nice people in this forum that are always there to answer any questions that you have.
As already mentioned - Andy's book on the Deus is a great way to learn more about your new machine - it goes into much more detail than the factory owner's manual.

Here's a link to Gary's ( lives in the UK) videos on the Deus - these video's are very well done and a must see for any Deus owner !

Good Hunting !

Thanks for your kind words guys, I have been filming today so should have some more official XP videos out soon.
The best advice I could give a new user is learn the machine at your own pace, we are all different.
Repetition is the best way to learn the menu, learn the surface menu first, don't worry about the All Metal circuit at first.
And finally ask as many questions as you need.
