XS Explorer Stand ??????????

I have a Explorer XS , Dose anebody have a idea what i can use for a rear stand by the fourarm instead of the front stand on the coil??

Sunray has a nice stand for the XS. It comes with an adapter to use 1/4" plug instead of the 1/8" plug. I have one on my Explorer XS.

I've not seen a stand for the coil area. But Minelab has a stand for under the forearm (it came with my SE package). I wish they'd made it a couple inches higher, for when I use the machine around saltwater beaches (and waves!).

Jack answered your question and works great on my XS also. Certainly rocksolid steady and lets you use the 1/4 headphone jack..Only problem the XS or the Sunray stand haven't been made for years and might be tough to find one but I would check around with Sunray or Minelab dealers or even look for one used in the classifieds...

I have a stand which also adapts the smaller jack too the bigger jack.
But I really don't need it for a stand. I found something at work which looks like a carring bag harness, weather it is for a camera or luggage I am not sure. I opened one of the ends so it was big enough to fit over the xs top cuff and jack adaptor and big enough to swing detector freely left and right, wrap around waist and clip both clips together. adjusted both ends again for comfort with out it falling paste my hips and bam! I can let go of detector to answer the phone, light a cig, or dig a target, I can kneel down to pick up anything tie my shoe, etc...it never touches the ground. Its great when I noise cancel I just push button and let go..hands free...it is good when wading it will never fall in the drink and with long handle scoop I don;t have to bend over anyways. I love it! I have forgotten it a few times and relized how important it was to my comfort in detecting. Its hard to get a good pic of it on me so I hope you get the idea....my arms are only so long......

At least that is what Rick(ND) told me when I wanted him to order me one. Luckily, I must have had Rick order me one before for a back-up because I have a Brand New one with all my accessories. I must have had 2 extra because 4-5 months back I got rid of one to a buddy of mine that needed one. So if you see any of those SunRay Stands, you best grab them up. Good Luck and HH.

I use the one Jeff showed. It works great but I hate the 1/8" jack on the XS. The cord keeps slipping out.

I modified the existing stand by cutting off the ears that attach it to the coil and then cut a hole in the solid part of the stand to a tight fit for the end of the shaft. It works great.

Just bought one recently Its far superior to the crap one that minelab included. The ajustable strap is way better than minlab. its more comfortable and easier to get your arm in and out with a heavy coat on.
