XS to SE Conversion Please :surrender:

A fellow detectorist gave me his set-up for an XS.....I have an SE. His set-up includes Iron Mask at - 12. The lowest Iron Mask setting on my setting SE is zero. What would and XS setting of minus 12 correspond to on a SE ????

I'm not an expert by any means. I have an XS and the lowest Iron mask is minus 16 So my guess would be 4 on an SE. Iron mask is mostly about soil conditions and user preference in my opinion. Hope this is helpful.

Iron mask on the XS went to -16 while the SE is a -32 which is all metal on both detectors. So if the XS was a -12 than the SE would be a -24 to get the same area blacked out.
One thing to remember is what one person uses for setting may not work for you and your area or type of hunting.
