Xterra 70 Still Gets The Relics:thumbup:

After being side-tracked for a month on a couple of other machines, I got out today to the same spot that I've hunted with the other machines. Althou they seem to get the targets faster in the iron infested sites they still fall short of the raw depth of the Xterra 70 with the 10.5DD coil. Most of the three ringer bullets were found at the 8" or more depth. Some of the small pistol bullets were found at the 6-8" depth level in rocky soil, medium hot ground. It took me about an hour to get my "Ear" back for the Xterra for the deeper targets. No matter what machine I use, I ALWAYS return to the Xterra for the deep target recovery.Oh, by the way, my hunting buddy had the same results with his 705 with the same coil.......MO

Great hunting! One of the great this about the X Terra 70 (705) is that the variety of coils and frequencies make it so versatile and adaptable for differnt types of hunts. You're sure making great use of yours.HH

Good to see you back and nice finds. I have been following your results on the other forum. It looks like that detector does well in the trash.

I hunt in all metal 2 tones so, any high tone from say, 10 up I dig it. Brass buttons can be from 10 to 30 and bullets from 20 to 42 on ID......

Question for morelic,----do you use the 18.75 khz or the 7.5 khz DD 10" coil in your relic hunting?
Some great finds there, I'm taking a hard look at the X-terra 705 and 505.
