XTERRA 705 FOR THE BEACH?

Hi

I'll point you to a post from about 2 weeks ago.....

Not as good as a Sovereign, Excalibur 2 or an Etrac but not too shabby if the mineralisation is not too high.
good luck

On wet freshwater sand YES. On wet saltwater sand NO(like all VLF's), instead use a BBS or FBS machine. But on dry saltwater sand YES.

I ran my X70 on the beach over the holidays with no problems. Beach mode with tracking on. The 705 is a even better machine.

Dry sand no problems.

Wet sand, turn your sensitivity down to about 14-16 and you should be ok. Also turn Beach Mode on and GB tracking. I found that the 10.5in MF DD coil performed better in the wet sand than the 5x10 HF DD or the 9in concentric (standard).

Cheers
