I just knew that I would find something interesting today. I prayed a prayer of faith and gratitude for all that I was about to find while driving to the beach with my Minelab XS-Pro 2 and homemade scoop. Well I got to the saltwater beach and found that all access points were locked (no one allowed on the beach till April).

I then shot over to the salt water lake that is nearby only to find the gate lowered - no cars allowed through :confused: I didn't let it get me down for long, telling myself that I'd find something with or without my metal detector. I walked around the gate empty handed just to take a look - it was a real beautiful day!

After 20 minutes or so of enjoying the scenery (and giving thanks), I noticed a corroded penny laying on top of some gravel in an inch of water. I thought it may be a wheatie at best. What a nice surprise when I turned it over to discover it was an 1895 Indian Head! It is only the second one I've ever found and the first without a metal detector!

prayer answering God to His faithful saints! Congrats on your persistance in finding something and you did....an Indian Head is a nice find and even more so without a metal-detector! Yes ... Congratulations on the IH! Nice find. You see ... God answered your prayers and gave a little extra besides. God is good! Keep praying and keep hunting.
