The original windows were getting in bad shape and the winter cold came through like there was no tomorrow. Heating bills were off the charts
; So we decided to take the plunge and take out a loan for the new windows

We tried to match the new vinyl windows as close the the originals as possible. All-and-all they actually looked better than we thought as we got to get rid of the unsightly storm windows on the out-side that were rusted and ugly.

The house was torn apart as the windows were replaced. I helped the guy to repair some of the sills that needed replaced before they were wrapped in metal and the vinyl trim on the outside was applied, covering up 200 years of unsightly, built-up paint. I took the opportunity to re-paint much of the house and trim in the inside before putting the house back together again.
Everything you see in these photos was bought on sale, on Ebay or bought and repaired by me from a second hand store. The glass ship case was built by my friend for a trade out. Click on pictures to enlarge.
