Got out yesterday with the V3i for 4 hrs. Found the 62 quarter and merc near where I found the seated dime last week. I have to admit I was cherry picking a bit. I live in NH and the park was in Mass and school is out for the week there so the park was busy. Not used to that as I work a 36 week fri-sat-sun . Picked the two silvers and three wheats out of an area that the ground was very "busy" with rapidly changing ground mineralization and ferrous junk in the ground. I ground balanced over an area using the pinpoint mode that gave a decent average of the ground conditions. Turned on the default tones mode in C+J for the first time and really liked the performance. I found if I got a high tone chirp that I could get the "angle" on the target and get a repeatable VDI just by giving the coil a little wiggle of a few inches, I dug. I was using the 5hz BP so low and slow was the way to go.
