Yesterday's hunt...

Got out for a couple hours since I knew bad weather was coming...happy I did since its colder and wet out! Hit two different Parks with the Explorer and had a good silver fix! I found a silver ring, a silver ear ring on top of the ground, seven wheats(1916-1937), a War Nickel(42-P), two buffalo nickels(36, ND), a terrible Shield Nickel, a 51 Roosie, and two Mercs(16-S, 35), both in the same hole! The IH is 1892 and looks great on one side and terrible on the other! I also found a small amount of clad, just over a dollar!!

I too am getting ready for the first day of winter as a storm is at my door steps. I did manage to get out for a bit but the weather and wind cut the time to only a few clad quarters and one wheat....

IM is set at -12, sens was at 32 auto, have hunted in manual at both places, but just left it there! I think I always keep it fast/deep as well. I'm just happy to be swinging in soft soil in February!! Have a great weekend!

probably getting it a little worse than I am...ground is still soft, and 40's tomorrow, may see if I can get out after work...not many days left for fun this month I think!
