Yesterdays river park find

I found this pin yesterday with my equinox 800, 1-2 inches deep with a VID number or 21-22 using Park 1. The pin is 2 1/2" X 13/16" and appears to be brass.
I did a Google search this morning, and I believe it's called a Army Senior Aviator pin. I don't know if this was for a pilot or crew. If anyone can give more information I'd appreciate it. Army Aviator pin.jpg

Great find. Just a guess...but probably a pilots wings with senior rank...say Colonel or above????

That is super nice condition too! Are you anywhere near an AirForce base or Army post? Maybe check with a local ROTC group??
