Went with another of my friends from the Michigan web site Randy and started in Lapeer. The only things I got on my first dive in a lake I have hit VERY hard
were a nickel and a 1888 indian head penny. Also the set of keys and of course the Zippo lighter. I don't seem to have enough of them!!!

Then we hit another lake that I have done pretty well in and all I got there was a wheat and the star token and a cross thingy with a motorcycle in the middle.
Randy hit the small park at that lake and got a 1900 and a 1908 indian head penny.

Well things were looking very slim and we were on the way home and decided to look around another lake for an access. Came across a camp and asked the person in the house if we could play in the water. He said sure!!!!

That was enough!! I was pretty tired but thought it was worth a try anyway. Randy was the first to strike gold in the wading area. A very nice 10K class ring from 2006. I was getting lots of change along with tools!! Yes, I got a huge 1 1/4 socket, a nut driver and a round file. I came up, and the manager who let us in was there. I gave him the tools and he thanked me. He said you guys don't waste any time do you!! I said no, we love the water!

Got back in and was finding more coins. Then I got another dreaded pulltab hit. Waving my hand I came up with the beautiful ring with emeralds in it. It is great to be able to fan your hand and see a gold ring emerge!! After getting out I showed it to Randy and he saw it was missing a stone. In searching for marks all we can come up with is a 8.5 inside. It is for sure gold. It had some black stuff on it and I cleaned it off. Need to find out what carat it is. Anyway the rest of the rings are junkers. Four lifeguard whistles were also nice finds. I have a nice collection of them also!! At least it turned out to be a good day.

Sounds like you had a long, but rewarding day. It is always nice to find a new spot to hunt. That was some great looking loot, thanks for sharing.

My anderson dive shaft came, so now I can't wait to heal up and get into the water. Got a few places in mind. Hope other divers havent beat them to death already :)

I'm gonna make some shallow dives this coming week-end.

The wetsuit I bought is way too small so it's cut-offs and tee shirt. I just won't be able to dive deep or for extended periods.

I really like all the stuff you are bringing up, Bob. Keep on blessin' us with your finds. It's funny how peaceful it is in the depths. <><

Arkie, So far the deepest I have been this year is about 10'. Most the time I am at the 3'- 5' level. I just like to lay on the bottom and get away from the world.

Anderson drive? Is that a surface drive for a boat?
