Using hi pro with disc sense at 88,Am at 65,RX at 10 and 5 filter.at a spot I hunt which has plenty of trash.I've pulled 5 Wheaties and 3 silver dimes in the last two days, but signal all were broken and pennies would vdi from 50 to 85 but all coins were 6+inches. This spot has some emi which I used offset to -3 so it was very stable. Should I change filter to12.5 lower rx a Tad, this site is the only spot where nothing vdi's right I just rely on pinpoint to make my decision to dig or not and so far its been paying off but how can I get solid vdi. I've dug 10 inch dimes before that would skew a few numbers but not 20 or more please help

I have my custom program set pretty close to yours and it works really well under my conditions. I'm lucky to have very good soil here in TX but the one thing that I've learned is that RX gain can really bite you in the ...... if set to high. I would suggest lowering RX to about 8 and giving that a try. In situations like you've described I like the factory C&J program really well with bumping up the disc. sens. up a few notches and running my RD @ 45 with the 6X10 DD. The 5Hz band filter works well for me but dealing with EMI is always trial and error. Also in high trash areas I pay more attention to the sounds more than the screen as VDI's will vary a lot due to masking. Hope this helps some. HH

You didn't mention your coil. In trash the 9.5 concentric coil would not be my first choice. A smaller and DD coil would give you better side to side separation in trash. I think you would see better VDI also because you would see less targets under the coil at the same time. Just remember the 6x10 gives the depth of a round 6" coil.

Your coil is also important. I don't know how bad yours is. The worse it is the more improvement you will see with the DD coils.
