if ya can't keep his head above water forget water polo
Seriously though, an opportunity to make lots of money presented itself. I'm already busier than a one armed wallpaper hanger, so told Sherry and she relayed it to a sleeping son-in-law who needs work.
Proposition is snow removal....from roofs. I have a roof (snow) rake to pull snow off the edges of roofs where ice dams form. Clearing the snow from the edges of the roofs allows the remaining snow to melt and run off the roof. Failure to remove the snow at the roof edge causes the melting snow above to get to the snow at the edge and form slush then ice. Once ice has formed it creates a dam that keeps the rest of the melting snow from getting off the roof but instead forms a swimming pool of water. Easy to see if you have ice dams forming...got icecycles? Then there are dams forming.
If you have a flat roof this is even worse as the water - weigh - and moisture can collapse a roof!!! Some people up here are up ON their roofs shovelling by hand to clear the snow off the roofs. Dangerous.
Well so much for the ice dam lesson (even there is so much more). My neighbor is hiring a guy to do it for $200. I told him I have a son-in-law who can do it for a lot less.
Only time will tell if this 'horse' comes to drink (get the roof rake) and make some money or if he will continue to make his pregnant wife support him with her Burger King check.
For those who want some work..here is an idea for you if you're in a snow area.
