First home built in 1875 era........second home built 1922............Ground looked old.

I thought this has to be loaded with old coins... HHAHHAHA Was I ever wrong.

Two half dollar size disk shaped knockouts ??
3 memorial pennies
1 clad dime
1 Wheat penny
1 pull tab
1 clad quarter

And more pieces of junk in one side yard than I have ever seen before....

Wish this could have been an exciting post........Oh how I wish..LOL

Might get a chance to try it out tomorrow...

I tend to move a little fast sometimes for old home sites..and I'm sure that hurts the finds..I will go back and go different angles and slow it a little.. There just has to be one old coin there...

Hey El, we give such situations our best shot, that is all one can do. The next time those spots may yield something good. Funny how this hobby goes. I pulled up to a site not to long ago, one that truly has been pounded, and began swinging right at the sidewalk edge. You guessed it! It turned out to be a 52 Rosie. Why this dime was previously missed by mine and countless other coils over the year's??? But that is one of the reasons that keeps many of us going back to some of the same sites time after time. Just too much of a temp drop for any kind of comfortable hunting... had it been last week, and 40's, I would have thought it a mini heat wave..It's all relative isn't it.. LOL......

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR ...............todays 40 feels like 20

Those coins don't stand a chance now Elton! The 5" is really a great coil. Lisa won't use anything else.

I've been lurking over here and watching your progress with the T2 and to say the least, am impressed with how well you've done since you switched from the Explorer.

Please share your thoughts on the new coil when you get some hours on it.

Mike
