could you guys tell me what some of your favorite articals, or most informitive ones about hunting with the 250, that may be very deep in the archives.

Mary, previously a Garrett employee and missed tremendously, would do school presentations including the squirrel, or "YELLER FELLER" as he eventually got called in this photo. Best article? Oh man.....there were sooooooo many. The ACE 250 was probably the "MOST SOLD" metal detector ever, encompassing a market from new people entering the hobby to older veterans, with several high end machines that bought the ACE 250 and kept it, because it had a useful place in their metal detector arsenal.

Love that pic. I sure miss Mary. Got to get a card off to her before I forget. We used to yak back and forth on email all the time.

Travis.
The Australian Garrett importer has a few articles posted on his website. They went into the Australian Gold Gem and Treasure Mag. 2 of them were written by Chris Durbridge. Chris comes onto this forum from time to time, but he posts on the other forum more frequently. I'm not sure about posting a link to it directly from this site, but if you went to the Garrett homepage, then you may well find his address on their site.PM me if you want more details.
I understand, that there will be an informative article about the Ace coming up in the next few months. Might be worth keeping an eye out for, as I understand it to be a hints and tips type of article.

Travis the best i"v seen lately is on finding gold rings by Dahut it"s in the post " target ID segments GTI 1500 " it 11th from the top of that post & is posted on page 2 of the forum it"s a great read if you look for gold :detecting: it"s not just for the ace it"s use full to all target id detectors.

The most informative thing you can do with the Ace is just use it. It's such a simple machine, there's not a lot to learn. You have to put in a lot of hours to get good with it though. It's hard to describe how the signal bounces between pull tab and nickle and you know that's gold. You can't put into words how the way it hits on fifty cents or a dollar and you know weather it's a can or a large cent. You have to pay attention to what it's telling you and dig.

My favorite in the archives is my question for "Tips Please" (look back about 5 pages in and around Thanksgiving)...WOW!

What a response I got from all these "poster" on here! Alot of info there to read so go back a few pages and read all that is there!

Yeah this place is the encyclopedia of detector info. That's why we are the most popular place on the net. You really get your money's worth here from a lot of very knowledgeable people from all over the world always willing to help a feller out.
