Your Grandpa sent you dirt for Christmas?

Those were the words spoken to my granddaughter when she opened her Christmas package early that came in the mail today. I decided to give something different this Christmas rather than sending a check and let them buy something they think they would like.

The young lady that spoke those words was surprised because Jackie, my granddaughter, was elated to get that dirt. Jacqulin happily informed her friend that
 
Hope they find some nice Sapphires in the "dirt" and then you will get a happy phone call saying, "Thanks, grandpa, for the dirt! :) I don't think many get "dirt" as a gift for Christmas or otherwise! :lol: God Bless! Betty
 
sign me up for a bag of tha dirt! On Fathers Day weekend my daughter and I went to NC to a gold dig with some friends. We did the gem mining where you buy a bucket and wash the dirt out. It sure was fun and we got a ton of nice gems! :)
 
I think it was coal! :)
