Zi8 Kodak Camera with I Mac

I got a Zi8 camera today because it was advertised to work with the Mac Computer. It only focuses at 7 inches which is not what I wanted. Does anyone know if I get the Zi6 if it will work on my Mac as I have downloaded the program to my Mac from Kodak? I apologize in advance as I am a certified computer idiot when it comes to this stuff. I had read one report on the Zi8 that indicated that it would focus down to 15 mm. It actually focuses to 15 cm, which is a very big difference. I appreciate any help you guys can give me as I want to put some videos on this great forum.

Bud. I can't be 100% sure the Zi6 will work with the Mac. But I believe mine came with Apple Software I could upload.

I have a question about the z18 also.I love the little thing but is there a way to post your videos somewhere without having to put it on you-tube 1st to get the encoded message?Thanks charlie

I have already downloaded the program from Kodak, which I really don't need. Now I still need to get the Zi6 in order to take close ups.
