putting a pattern in quick mask to check a target

Elmy

Well-known member
you can run an open pattern and do a one button push to get to the quick mask screen to check a target with the pattern of your choice. That's right..your choice.
Or a very tight coin window to check a target for the silver coin. That kind of adds another pattern to your arsenal making it 11 possible patterns stored on your etrac....
WHO NEEDS 11 patterns ?

I re-read the post and Maybe I did not make it so clear.....
Let's say you put the Bill S trashy park pattern as the one you hunt with....now you put the Andy S pattern in quick mask...
So with one button push of the quick mask button , you can check your patterns using Bill S and checking it with the Andy S as the quick mask.
Fast and on the fly hunting...2 of the most used patterns I know of.

Well another brain opener, good idea.

oh yeah...one button push puts you into a different pattern...and one push on a button gets you back to your hunting pattern....fast and easy.
Great way to check your targets quickly with two patterns.

I guess that everyone must know how to use the pattern of their choice in quick mask....so I will move on to something else ...working the EQ2 6 inch coil tomorrow to try to find masked coins that larger coils miss.

Elmy, can you show me a pic of the EQ2 6" coil? I'm not sure I know that one.
In reply to your 1st statement, no...I don't know how what steps to take to load a pattern into Quick mask, other than adjusting the conductive and ferrous 'lines' on the screen. Funny but it happened accidentally just today. Don't know how I did it, but was using regular quick mask to check targets after using primary pattern, and I somehow loaded an actual pattern into quick mask! It really threw me off, and took some time to get the quick mask screen back again. Knowing how to do it ( or UNDO it) on purpose would definitely be handy!

Us old timers remember when the excelerator came out as the excelerator 6 inch coil ....the EQ2 PRO is the upgraded excelerator coil.....Some still use the old style....you need to use the EQ2 Pro coil.

putting a pattern in quick mask

The very easiest way is to load up your pattern on a computer....
under a folder called patterns....using E-trac xchange program.
simply select patterns when you open the xchange program.
upload a pattern to the etrac under I want to:
under open a pattern file....choose your pattern to load..
select the slot and press upload...select quick mask...
now select upload.
Finished...you run andy s pattern and check it with Bill s in quick mask or vice versa.
