I have been collecting 40 channel AM/SSB CB radios for a while now...Along with some ham gear and AM tube radios. This is just a few pics of a fraction of my collection.

Nice...I like the look of the older stuff...Lots of chrome...Made with better electronics in my opinion. My favorite CB that I own is the GE Superbase...It even has speech compression.

Somewhere out in the shop is the father in laws (rip) Radio Shack monster. Had it mounted in a 1970 3/4 ton Cornbinder (see how many remember that nickname). Like you said a ton of chrome.

I believe that they are...They have the pre amplified base.

Modulated model is a T/UG-8.
I still have mine. It's what I use with my Demco Super Satellite even though the Demco has a speaker/modulator as a part of the radio.

Nice...I always liked the look of the Astatics! I like the audio of the Turner plus Three on my GE Superbase...I get a lot of compliments on the sound of the modulated audio.

I had a +3 back in the day, but let it go with the radio when I upgraded. Always used a +2 on my mobile.

The +2 is a nice microphone too!

Depending on what kind of shape I'm in coming out of winter, I might just have to put up a tower & beam and set up my base again.

Sounds great! I have had some dx conditions from the U.S. a couple of days ago...I am using a Imax 2000 right now but I do have a Zerofive Colossal 10K 5/8 wave groundplane antenna new in the box that I hope to get up in the air soon...I also have a A/S 4 element beam still sealed in it's original box from 1979!

My last rig included a Varmint XL-1000 and a Hy-Gain Big Gun II. I talked all over this hemisphere with it.....on AM.

Looking at what's available currently in the way of beams, and a "Y-Beam" may be in my future.

Excellent! Maybe we will here you on the air! I usually monitor 38 LSB but I do venture on AM too. I go by 777 Saskatchewan,Canada.
