New detector first find

I decided to buy a new detector - after research, and money not being an issue, I still went for the Nokta Makro Simplex +. It is light and fast, detects deep and is an amazing value. I move slightly East on my property, from the 1940's, 50's and 60's era area I have been making finds. I made a solid deep hit, used my Root Slayer shovel pulled out some iron trash, rechecked the hole and still had a solid silver signal. The result of the effort was a 1945 Standing Liberty Half.

How deep? Which program were you using? Great job, you didn't even scratch it. Enjoy new detector . I have the simplex but have not got good with it yet. Need to use it more. I guess I don't trust the readings like I do with CTX 3030.

The coins was about 7 in deep. I think any detector could have found it, however, the "Park 1" setting under this latest update seems to be stable and deep seeking. I've got that new 9 in by 5 in coil coming to hit some iron infested areas. Try your machine on max sensitivity (if its' stable) and go slow. Pinpointing on my machine appears to be extremely accurate - I mean spot on.

Sometimes mine has a lot of noise no matter which program I am in.

Very nice find. Congrats! Been a 8-9 years since my last one. Found it in a 300 acre farm field. You never know what's in the ground.
