I’m thinking about possibly getting a smaller coil for detecting trashy areas. Any recommendations?

Thank you for the recommendations. I’ll definitely look into the 5x9.5 coils.I keep the stock 11" DD on my first Simplex + to handle the typical open grassy parks or a plowed field and other bigger, more open and lower target-count sites.. But for a smaller-size to mid-size coil I have Two suggestions:
1.. On my 2nd Simplex +, and it's one of my main-use daily detecting models, I have their 5X9½ DD. Amazing performance in modestly-littered places and it balances well.
2.. Watch for the NEL aftermarket coils that should be out in December or, from what I was told, buy January. Once they are out I plan to get their 'Sharp' 5" DD to take care of the smaller-size coil needs, and I have a lot of those to contend with.

Thank you, I’ll definitely take a look at it!I recently purchased the SP24 coil and really like it. It's quieter and more precise than the stock coil.
Great.Nel’s coils are coming. Even better selection....likely to be more stable at all settings too.
The 9.5x5 (14.75 oz) weighs only 2 ounces less than the 11" Simplex coil. The same size Nel Sharpshooter coil is 12.3 ouncesI’m thinking about possibly getting a smaller coil for detecting trashy areas. Any recommendations?
Looks like Nel will ship out coils for Simplex at the end of the month. Then Customs etc. Probably see them for sale around the 10th of January.I am also hoping for a 5-inch coil, Concentric or DD, it doesn't matter. I would prefer to see one made by Nokta / Makro but might have to be satisfied with one from an aftermarket coil maker. For Detech to make that 13" Ultimate they would have needed the circuitry / chip information in the coil that Nokta / Makro uses, so if the detector folks don't bring us a small coil then possibly it will be Detech. Still hoping to see if NEL he is in position to bring us the 5" Sharp.
