Simplex coils

I keep the stock 11" DD on my first Simplex + to handle the typical open grassy parks or a plowed field and other bigger, more open and lower target-count sites.. But for a smaller-size to mid-size coil I have Two suggestions:

1.. On my 2nd Simplex +, and it's one of my main-use daily detecting models, I have their 5X9½ DD. Amazing performance in modestly-littered places and it balances well.

2.. Watch for the NEL aftermarket coils that should be out in December or, from what I was told, buy January. Once they are out I plan to get their 'Sharp' 5" DD to take care of the smaller-size coil needs, and I have a lot of those to contend with.

Thank you for the recommendations. I’ll definitely look into the 5x9.5 coils.
My main use for it will probably be detecting areas where homesites used to be, so I assume it will help find the goodies amongst the iron nails.

I recently purchased the SP24 coil and really like it. It's quieter and more precise than the stock coil.
