Upgrade question

In my opinion - yes it was an improvement but then again I don’t coin shoot in England for deep hammered coins.
It only takes about ten minutes to upgrade so no big deal for free software.

When I first upgraded I took my Nox to hunted out areas that I myself hunted.
I did find more coins, although they were missed in previous hunts they were badly worn coins.
I did find three different digs with multiple coins in them that I missed in previous hunts. I have a theory that the 4 kHz ignores nickels and therefore the machine reported on the dimes and quarters or cents in these three holes, but it’s a guess on my part.
After about ten hunts I switched back to Multi freq and went into other areas.

I had a similar experience while using 4khz... I got a deep 16 signal in multi, and then checked the signal in 4khz.
It then read 23.
I dug and found a clad dime laying on top of a nickel.
4khz being a low frequency, did not do well with nickels for me.

In my garden, 4kz don’t work on nickels. That’s what I do when disc..I put it on 15kz and the nickel comes out.
For me, Multi was the ticket for nickels...
I found more nickels last year with my Equinox than any other year since I started in 2006!
