Wrapping the Coil Wire - Opinions?

Basically good advice. More important in water with high power / high sensitivity units; particularly when water moving the cable can and definitely will cause falsing.
Here is my Impulse AQ:

I wish the manufacturers would offer wire lengths. A person 6’6” needs more wire than a person 5’6” ( over exaggerated). Offer short, medium, and long lengths and make life a bit easier.

Speaking of coil wires, wish Notka hadn't copied Minelab's poor design so closely. After 5 or 6 outings in the woods and thickets I hunt, the area pointed out kept getting hung up on branches so I had to can the ANFIBIO which was performing well in other aspects. Never been a problem before, none of my other detectors have this design flaw.

Way I do mine.
On every machine.
Each coil with its own shaft.

What about the excess wire near the control box? I am similar in the lower, straight wire run you made to the first 12 inches, but I spiral the wire to the control box. The velcro wraps are a must IMPO.
Yup
After the lower shaft.
I spiral the rest snugly.
The straight up at the coil is the most important.
No flopping and wire magnetic field doesn't interact with the coils field.
Learned that from minelab forum years ago.
