15" Coil Ear Stiffener Choice?

I have my 15" coil coming in the mail and was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for the best ear stiffener to buy for it? Wanted to add it for peace of mind since I primarily beach hunt. Thanks!

snowdak made the one I have used for over 2 years with no problems. This one has slots for two zip ties to hold the stiffener tight to the coil.
Search for 15" Coil Yoke Strengthener and you can find the ones he is making today in various colors. I would like a lime green one so I could see the center of the coil while detecting in the water.

I broke an ear on my 15" coil for the Nox and added a "Detecting Adventure" ear stiffener and ended up breaking it when I tried to tightening the bolt!! So I see a real problem with the ear stiffeners as currently manufactured in the ability to stabilize the coil by tightening the bolt (toilet seat bots work well for a longer bolt). Just bought another Detecting Adventure ear stiffener for the 15" coil and use ties to keep it at the appropriate fixed angle for hunting w/o having to tighten the bolt too much. You could also make other types of coil stabilizers, when you use an ear stiffener, to angle the coil and keep it at that angle for hunting...just saying the ear stiffeners are NOT the total answer.

I have noticed you need to replace the washers when they wear or the ears will develop hairline cracks and after warranty is up I epoxied my stiffeners on the 6” and 11” they will do not get any form of oil on the plastic it will disintegrate the plastic I know as I had some spill on the coil ear they both just fell off!

Stiffeners don't work. They still break. You would really have to modify by adding extra parts and epoxy them on.
Check out Gigmaster videos for modifications.
It took mine almost 3 years to break but it broke with a very expensive coil stiffener in place.

That's why I just epoxied mine on my newer coils and I don't tighten the screw at all with new washers its perfect
