Cane or Umbrella handle

I found this cool handle in a creek. Not even with my detector, I managed to just eyeball it, along with a coke bottle and a marble. I took it to a jeweler and they told me it was copper, lead, and zinc, which is a shame because I was hoping it would be silver. Probably early 1900s.
