Class ring finds it way home 21 years later.

I found a class ring last week at a lake park. I was able to find the owner rather quickly. I googled the class year and found a link that gave the list of graduates. I sent the owner a message thru Facebook and I asked him if he had lost anything at this particular park. He confirmed that he lost his class ring his senior year while on a senior field trip. I explained that I found it with my detector down by the new water line. The lake level is way down due to the lack of rain this year. I told him if he would give me his address, I would send him his ring. Here's a picture of he and the ring reunited.

Way to go Dan hope the person who lost it was highly appreciative of your gesture. Nice job.

Its heart warming in this day and age when everyone seems to be stuck in the “me” mode to hear about someone “doing the right thing”. Good job!

Yes Dan, you made that guys day!!. My high school ring lies in a river in Brunswick, Ga. 5-30-'55. Probably 3 feet deep in salt water mud.

Nice job Dan I’ve found two rings this year for people that lost them feels good to help them recover.
My stepdaughter was just here and her birthstone is opal I found a beautiful old gold opal ring which I just gave her better than in my safe!

WTG!!! Great for the hobby and the mind! Over the past 20 years or so I have been fortunate enough find or assist in returning several. One a 1943 Rice Institute mans class ring to it's 92 year owner in Nacogdoches, Texas. A 1945 U Texas mans ring to a widow in Stephenville, Texas. A 1953 Brady HS female ring to it's 84 yr old owner in Pearland Texas. A Mans wedding band with the the names of the two and the marriage date in 1956. Returned that one to the man in Sugarland Texas. Lots of great smiles and tears!
