Legends have defective speakers

Oh no. I guess I'll dump my Legend and pull out my 50 lb. Garrett ADS 7. o_O
How are you doing with the Legend? I was wondering if you had gotten one.

Good luck finding a manufacturer with 100% perfect products and 0% failures.
Other companies charge alot more and have more problems.
Just an end user who notices these things

Just for the record it is an awesome detector as far as i am concerned especially for the money.
I have no problems with the detector itself just the way they do business.
If you cant back your product though with customer service and parts then what good is it eventually. Unless you have money to throw around then it doesn’t really make a difference.

This might very well be because the accessories aren't "repaired", they are replaced. And the overwhelming majority of inventory is going to the dealers. So they are more likely to have stock on hand to address your issue than the repair place which likely only stocks parts/pieces related to servicable pieces (like the main unit).

So 4 months out of the year its
Over 90 degrees here so headphones aren’t really comfortable. Hope
Mine don’t go out but curious you just use vibrate can you tell the difference well like with different tones ? Always thought sound was the most important especially being used to beep and dig machines
Agree the headphones (any over the ear headphones) aren't ideal when it's hot. I would have loved it if they came with the waterproof jawbone earphones.

I have a set of aftershok lawbone headphones i was thinking of trying to pair but I don’t think you get the same response time or quality as the headphones that cone with it.
Be interesting to know the latency of those headphones in comparison

Well apparently the dealer had stock to replace then got cold feet and said it had to go through warranty to be replaced. Not sure exactly what was going on.
This is where i was stuck.
Nokta Makro stepped up and made everything right after they heard about it thats all that matters now.
Things happen. Nokta Makro not only has great products but excellent customer service. Not everything in life is 100% perfect but trying is the main thing

I've talked to multiple people, seems the speakers are prone to break. Try running it for 20 hours on speaker, good chance it won't make it, considering most use headphones. A few have stated they sent it in to get repaired, and it broke again after a few days. Beware the speakers are weak on the Nokta legend
no problem with the speaker . Been using it non stop for a month.

My speaker just went out this past week. Contacted the US repair center, waiting on response.

Well the nice thing about these new detectors you can pair them up with about any light bluetooth earbuds.
At the beach between the sound of the water and people screaming you almost need headphones anyway.
There seems to be more leaking issues with the Nok then speaker issues with the legend.
With no bias towards either one id rather take my chances with the speaker going out then water getting in my detector.
You can always just use headphones in a pinch but not if your detector is flooded
