Depth & Discrimination

Does DeepTech (or anyone) make a machine that has the nuanced audio, depth, and full range discrimination of the 1266-x? I miss that detector but hesitate to buy another one because of the age of the electronics, so I am curious if any beep and dig detectors currently made could match it's performance.

I have 2 Deeptechs the X and Warrior. They do have modulated volume on depth like the old Fisher 1200 series detectors and with the DD coils they Excell in depth and target separation. Some claim the old Calrad headphones really bring that whisper depth out. I like the 2 tone operation of them or you can turn the iron tone down and they are like the old school Fisher or Tesoros. I think they are the best analog detectors out there now.

Yes, I think that I would like the iron tone as well, especially if it is anything like the Nautilus' were!

Been detecting since 1970 and sometimes it is nice to not dance around a target, looking at numbers to decide to dig or not. Get a Deeptech and let your ears, brain and intuition tell you the story of the target.
