Quick hunt on the Ct river

Got out last evening at low tide and my first signal was in the 70’s on the manticore which is a good worn possible silver coin which it was a Carlos the 3 can’t make out the date also got one wheat cent then a nice solid 88-89 quarter signal which it turned out was a 1938
I spent about 2 hours hunting and that was it I was happy better than sitting around the home!

Nice finds Mark… odd how a silver quarter do not read slightly higher than a clad quarter on the Manticore.... they do not read any higher on my 800 either, but silver dimes do.

Way cool Mark !!! Ive only found 1 reale and it was in a school yard !!!! Ive been going back every year and no other reales. But have found
a flowing hair penny, and a couple of Barbers. Not sure if this an old site or just fill !!!! But every new machine I buy I always go back to this school.

It’s funny that you say that Donna one of my first one rials was found in the school yard where I work on the edge of the yard under a fence that borders and Neighbor’s house

You were able to detectunder a fence... 2nd thought... wood fence...DAHHHHH

Im sure it was a great surprise as mine was. At the time I was a newbie and didnt know what I had except the date was 17?? I forget, it was a looong time ago !!!
