rechargeable batteries

Hi Jimmy, I use rechargeable batteries from EBL, although I don't have a vista right now I've used them in the one I had..I use them in everything that takes AA,. I also bought two rechargeable 9 volt from EBL, I always go through 9 volts like crazy in my pinpointer..I charged the 5400 mah 9 volt once last year and it never ran out

Eneloop pro, Eneloop white, EBL 2800, and the highest Mah Tenergy ones all work great. The first Eneloop pro batteries I bought 10 or so years ago are still working very well. So far I haven't seen a lithium rechargeable AA that has the same capacity or longevity of the NiMH ones above. I do know all the ads for the lithium ones use milliwatt hours instead of milliamp hours which inflates the amount of electricity they contain (3000mwhs at 1.5V=2000mah at same voltage) and reviews I have seen say they won't last near as many recharges.
Be sure to change them out or carry spares. I haven't ran them down all the way to know if the red light gives you much warning but I have run out juice with my Omega while digging a target and wondered why it was so quiet when I started searching again. That was quite a sudden stop with almost no warning much like lithium power tools.
