Two Hour Spin with the AQ

Had a couple hours of fun, yesterday. The tennis bracelet looked incredible coming out of the sand. Unfortunately, along with the other items, proved to be junk. Still using (and really enjoying) the 8" coil. Didn't change any previous settings, yet it ran rather stable. HH

Nice Jeff! I bet your blood pressure rose a few points when you saw that tennis bracelet. And, or course, it wouldn't have been a proper PI hunt without finding the obligatory bobby pin, lol.

Thanks! Yeah...the bracelet elation was short-lived. I wasn't sure if it was real until I got home, but it kept me going (third target) in the 100 degree weather. I am beginning to think the 8" coil is pretty hot. I also would like to thank the Manticore users for finding all the pull-tabs! I never found a single one.

This is so ironic. After reading your post, I went over to another forum to check messages and one of my buddies made a post entitled "I got robbed!". He also found a gorgeous looking tennis bracelet loaded with "diamonds". He saw 925 stamped on the back and thought he saw what looked like gold around the base of the stones, so he was thinking it was gold plated silver. Later, after cleaning it up and looking closer, he discovered it was silver plated copper. He's so bummed he thought he got robbed, lol.

I feel his pain! Probably should have brought the Excal as the waves were near non-existent yet I have been finding lots of targets on the slope. Most of the folks I see focus on the shoreline. I suppose my technique is a bit unorthodox, but it has seemed to work as of late.

Thanks for sharing.
