Nokta Legend 2 and LD22 coil combo is great

For those of you who may be interested or can find the LD22 coil for your legend 2 here is a test run of it by itself on my test bed.

This coil purchase made the detector a better set up for me with my hunting style.

It runs much more smoothly for me compared to the LD28 stock coil and goes deeper than the 8x5 elliptical included in the purchase.

Thanks for the video. Like you, I think the 9" round coil will be an excellent addition for the L2. I haven't hunted with mine yet but will after we get some rain to soften the ground up.

I agree...I have only went 2 times the past month and it is so hot still that it would just result in a miserable hot outing for me.

That coil purchase for me turned the legend 2 into something I will enjoy detecting with.

I hope you get some rain soon. I thought I saw some storm out in the Gulf may be headed in your direction the other day. I am not sure where it was projected to land exactly.

Mainly the Legend and the Gold Kruzer. Just picked up a lightly-used L2, however -- you talked me into it.

So what are you liking more about that 9" coil for the L2 compared to the stock 11" and the 8x5.5"?

My initial concern about the lack of small (5" or 6" round) coil option for the L2 have been alleviated since the LD21 hits a 0.05g gold flake just fine. Equivalent coil on the L1 couldn't pick up gold that small without touching it.

Well I am gonna be as honest about this as I can...I am not sure if I have a defective 11 inch coil or what's going on...even at other places whenever I used M1.....it just was too erratic and seemed unstable. I had to turn the sensitivity way down.....I see these guys on YouTube running in M2 and M1 and mine just will not run worth a flip in m1 and does just ok in M2. But I can run it in m3 just fine with the 11 inch LD28 stock coil. Maybe M1 is not a good frequency option for my area ground conditions in which I live.

I have tried frequency shifts, noise cancel and always re ground balance every time I change frequencies.

The 8x5 elliptical does fairly well but again runs better in M2 and M3 for me

The 9 inch LD22 coil has made it to where it runs like a top in M2 and I am getting great performance with it .....I mean real good results on depth and seperation.

I think the smaller footprint on the 9 inch LD22 coil helps the unit cope with ground conditions better.

I cannot remember what my ground balance reads off of the top of my head.

But I will get back to you tomorrow with the results.

Maybe you can tell me what your ground reads as well so we can compare notes.

I would like to think my ld28 coil is not defective......but you just never know.
