I Think This Might Be The #1 Reason We Have So Much Competition Today
I agree, things have changed in this hobby. Two things to add to your reasons for more beach hunters out there these days, manufacturers push clubs to get kids involved in the hobby to sell more products, second, folks are finding it harder to get good dirt fishing spots. XP2 High frequence coil
IMO, it enhances the sounds of small bits of metal when dirt fishing. I only used it for a few hours on privates and woods. It’s stable I guess over coins. I did find two wheat cents and some clad that day. I still need to get on a beach and see how it does there. I didn’t test its separation...- BigTony

Bought a new Deus II there have been some physical changes
CT Todd, it was fun meeting you at the hunt. I too was near by a few folks who found silvers but no cigar for me. My best was a silver plated cuff button circa 1800-1850, 8 inches down, (the size of my pinky nail). I’m glad we met up and glad I tried till I was exhausted! See you in the field...- BigTony

Found a nice silver coin today
Cool find and you are a good person to help find his hearing aid. I lost one once and when I realized it I panicked. Turned out I remembered I had touch it by a register at the garden flower shop. It was there when I went back, thank God. So long story short, his hearing aid would probably be on...- BigTony
