    QUESTION ABOUT CLEANING COINS

    ok so i found some old coins a couple days ago a 1812 large cent and a 1825 half cent i got them soaking in olive oil so how long do i soak them and when i get them out what do i use to get the corrosion off without damaging the coin? thx if anyone can help

    got to get out yesterday for a 7 hour hunt

    second day with the ctx

    hey guys did better today turned down the sensitivity i had it on auto plus 3 and turned it down to just auto and did alot better today i found 4 wheats 1910, 1928, 1935, and 1939 then i found 2 clad dimes 2 clad nickels and 6 pennies and a quarter and the best one i found was a 1919 mercury...

    what patterns and settings do you guys use on the ctx

    im new to the ctx yesterday was my first time using it i tried gonehuntings combined mode with the open screen the place i am hunting has been there since the late 1700"s there is alot of iron crap like nails i would get a pretty good repeatable signal in between iron even at a 90 degree turn it...

    first trip out with my ctx

    got out for just a couple hours today that i have pounded to death when i had the etrac i found a religous thing and then i found a licensed chauffeur tag from indiana 1940 i thought that was pretty cool i have never found one before

    GOT MY CTX TODAY AND EITHER MY CHARGER IS BAD OR MY BATTERY?

    let it charge 5 hours then the charger was flashing red on the battery part put the battery in the detector and no power so i put aa battery pack in and it works

    sunray probe question

    does anybody know if you can get a sunray probe for the ctx and if so will adding this throw the balance off and make it feel heavy i know how everyone is saying its so well balanced just wondering if adding the probe would cause a problem

    need help identifying a bullet

    i think this is a really old bullet i found it at a battle site the battle took place in 1863 if anyone knows what kind of bullet this is and what it is worth i would appreciate it i weighed it and its 3/4 of a ounce sorry the camera dont take very clear close up pics
