    Nail signals:detecting:

Is it just me or does this happen to you also? Sometimes when I get a high signal off a nail it rings high in two directions causing me to dig only to find it is a nail. This happens on smaller nails or deep nails. Is this normal? I have my Explorer SE Pro set at 26 auto sensitivity and 22 or 23...

    Confidence regained

I have a hunting buddy that is an excellent detectorist. He uses an Explorer SE Pro like mine. He has been detecting for over 20 years but has been using the Explorer for about 8 years. Being over 40 years younger then me he can dig plugs at the fraction of time I can. His success has always...

    Question about 2 small coils

I have a 8x6 SEF coil I love and have found many good coins and artifacts with. I have been considering getting an 4.5x7 Accelerator coil .Is there enough difference in the coil to warrant owning both? Thanks in advance.

    Today's finds

:detecting:Found the button with my Teknetics T2 Se at about 8 inches deep. I believe it is an Eagle cuff botton from the civil war. The Quarter was found with another detector. Thanks for looking.

    Found silver

Need help hunting very trashy areas.

I went to an old race track dating back to 1935 today and experienced a difficult day detecting with my Explorer SE pro with the 8x6 SEF coil. The area I hunted was extremely trashy. I was getting a lot of coin hits but most of them were trash. You couldn't move 6 inches to a foot without...

Explorer SE Pro comes through again!!

Went hunting with my buddy again and we got permission to hunt an old farm house. Hunting was tough. The place apparently was hunted very well in the past. We had trouble finding even clad. There was little junk also. But my explorer swung over a good signal and I dug a 1952 Rosie with a nail in...

    Finally A Barber

My wife and I went to Wisconsin for a little vacation and I took my SE PRO along. I got a chance to detect a Rural Equipment museum sight that had a fairly large area of ground. I was using my 6x8 SEF coil and was finding a bunch of clad and one Wheatie. I decided to change my coil to my 10x12...

    SE Pro's produce

My hunting buddy and I have had god success with our Explorer SE Pro's and small coils over the last 3 days. We went out in the evenings for about 3 hours each time. We found at least 30 Wheaties 4 Indian heads, Tokens junk rings, 4 silver dimes 2 Roosies and 2 Mercs. A silver capped bust that...

    Question for Bryce-IL

I use your settings on my SE Pro and have been quite successful in the finding of silver and gold rings in the dirt. However I purchased a 8x6 sef coil and wonder if you use a different sensitivity setting with the smaller coil like 32. If not why? What times do you use other then the 26 auto...

    For Bryce

Hi there, I have been using your Explorer Se Pro setup for a few years and find it works well for me here in Indiana. However I see you like to use the SEF 10X12 coil over the pro coil when detecting. What specifically is your reason for preferring the SEF coil over the Pro coil? I have...
