    It goes dead flat in about 5.5 hours from a fresh recharge. I have to charge before any hunt to make sure it doesn’t die. I wish I got two four hour sessions on a charge. It’s going in for a check when the ground freezes.

    Headphone adapter dongle

    Has anyone used the 1/4 inch headphone adapter in a water situation? The connector to the detector seems to be waterproof but I’m specifically wondering about the 1/4 female plug working underwater. I’m thinking about wrapping it with electrical tape to seal if necessary. Comments?

    How many still use a vintage classic detector from the 70's-80's?

    I still have my bounty hunter Red Baron 5. That thing kicked a— when it came out. No true ID, one sound, but it was deep. I found my first seated dime with it a 7 inches. I made it into a hip mount as it was so heavy. The machine needs work as the potentiometers no longer work.
