    Water Proof For Boot Cam?

Just wondering if anyone has ever pulled their plantar facia muscle uner their foot? I did on the Cape about three weeks ago, and have one of those full boot cams on my left leg, almost up to my knee. Anyway I could water proof this? If I get her wet, too much sand and it will smell for ever...

    Understanding

A couple of questions, at least. I'm having a struggle understanding this machine, Wow. 1) First, if I'm using the set Coin Mode with with no adjustments to discrimination, am I nulling out or missing any jewellery? I read this mode is based on hundreds of various coins, just wondering about...

    E-Trac Newbie

Sure this question has been asked a ton on this forum. Haven't been out yet as it's finally winter here in Buffalo, NY. Received the detector about 2 weeks ago. I have the Excal 2. I've been reading the manual? Should I just turn on and go for a while, get used to the machine, or try any...

    Settings for Land Excal 2

This is what I have been running on land for the Excal 2. Discrimination at 1, sens auto, disc on instead of pin-point. The ground here in Buffalo doesn't have much mineralization. I've tried switching back and forth between pinpoint, disc when I find a target, but haven't found that it helps...

    Excaliber on Land Update

After about 20 hours on land, all in old parks, here is the update. Probably 20 wheaties, indian head, v nickel, and one 10K class ring, old. Dug almost every target, lot lot lot of work. At least 500 caps and pu;; tabs and slaw. My overall impression is that you will find gold, with alot of...

    One More Comment

One more comment and then I'll keep quiet for a whie. Is anyone actually using the Excal 2 on land and finding deep silver, gold etc. I know people on the forum have said the Soverign is the exact machine but not water proofed, but again, just wondering if anyone is using the actual Excal 2 on...

    James ND and Excal 2

James, tried the Excal today again in my old park. Tried with pin point on but it was so weird as I always hust in the water with the Excal in disc, I finally switched over to this. Not sure how much the meter helps with the Soverign, but obviously Excal doesn't have one. Went at a creep, found...

    Excal on Land

Took the Excal to a favorite park I used to coin hunt. Definitely not for coins. 67 targets dug in two and a half hours. A few nickels, and pennies, all new, the rest bottle caps, pull tabs. There are lots of wheaties, indians, and silver in this park, ground was soaked. At least I know now...

    Fort Erie Beach Canada

Anybody on the forum try detecting this area? Incredible history, 1885 to 1930, and then closed. Had a casino, the world's largest dance floor, and world's largest outdoor swimming pool. http://wnyheritagepress.org/photos_week_2005/erie_beach_park/erie_beach_park_1.htm Des in Buffalo

Impressions of Excaliber 2 on Land

Took the Excal to a park I used to pull oldies out of before my land machine was stolen. Did pick up a v-nickel, but you would have to dig more or less every target with the machine. Don't think its a problem as far as breaking anything. Might use it the rest of the season on land and just clean...

    Excaliber 2 For Land Hunting??

Posted this on the Excal forum as well. I noticed in the Excaliber 2 manual they describe the machine as a dry land machine as well. Hard to believe. Don't think I'll try it, just wondering if anyone has ever tried the Escaliber 2 on dry land, not dry beach?? Is it productive? Des Curran
