    Vista X Batteries

Yes you can use good quality rechargeable AA. I use Eneloop Pro AA in my Vista X and last a long time. Highly recommended.

    Observations from an odd hunt

As far as the bottle caps go, I read somewhere that bottle caps are coated with non ferris paint. That could be the reason for showing full non ferris. Where as the caps showing one or two bars could be rusting exposing more iron. Just a thought.

    No difference worth mentioning.

historyrevisited, You said in your video your planning to getting a analog detector. You should consider the Deeptech Vista X. It's good in iron and deep, also they have just made a 8" Concentric coil for it that will make it better in iron than it already is. Just a consideration.

It's refreshing to see more well rounded reviews.

    More screws loose

    Interesting angled baby spoon

It may have been designed for a baby old enough to hold the spoon to learn to feed it's self, right shape. Nice find.

    Nox-- first impressions

I don't know if it will help but have you got the latest firmware update, it just give's you something to try. It should be written on the box it came in. If you do update, factory reset before the update and immediately after the update.

    This might help.

Proud owner of DeepTech Vista metal detectors!

I like to use my Vista X more than my Equinox 800, Etrac or MXT. For me the Vista X brings simplicity and fun back into detecting. Great machine.

    Finally made the big plunge

What brakes the ears is doing it up to tight, It needs extra spacers inside the ears so they don't bend in to far and snap or just don't do it up to tight.

    Should I buy a Quattro?

I'd go the E-Trac, very deep on the beach. also FE CO numbers, smartfind and more adjustability if you want to. I had a Quattro, sold it and got a E-Trac The difference was night & day.

Did I dig a 1500s coin in the States??

Those E's look nothing alike. The found coin has a concave back and the other coin has a straight back. Have a look under the magnifier. Nice find anyhow.

Does the new e-trac come with a written manual, or just the cd

You can always print the online Manual into a BOOKLET.
