Am I imagining void detection by the CTX?

Taking breaks from working around an old foundation today, I had some fun working some of the thousands of gopher hills here on the farm. I kept glimpsing a single digit (sometimes 10-12, but usually 01-07) conductivity reading around the hills. This also happened over the septic tank drain...

    Real Time USB output?

Can the CTX 3030 be programmed to output the coil's signal response in real time through the USB terminal to an outside computer?

CTX in non-motion mode - time limitation?

I don't know for certain, It seems the only way to run the CTX 3030 in non-motion mode is to hold the pin pointer trigger down. Would this have detrimental effects on the unit over time? I see that pinpointing drains batteries more rapidly. I'm looking to use it with a data logger that requires...

Does the ATX have true non-motion function?

Does the ATX non-motion function represent a true non-motion funtion? i.e. "... not fade out, but rather get stronger as it gets closer to the target and continue to sound as long as the coil remains over the target"?

How do ATX tones compare with White's TDI Pro sounds?

Checking out the Arc Geo Logger units, I see some use PI units ( such as White's TDI Pro) in addition to the awhite's TM 808 and Discovery TF-900 units. Basically, they log in the tone emitted as the detector passes thru a grid and thus present a 3-D computer image of the underground structures...

Golden King and DeepHunter coil frequencies

On the Instruction Manual link on the KellyCo site, the Technical Manual for the Notka Golden King DPR shows all coils operating on 12.5 kHz. However, the brochure from Notka for the same unit shows all coils operate on 17.5 kHz. I am wondering what frequency the currently available models...

    Golden King NGR vs. DPR

If a person bought the NGR initially, does it have the socket for plugging in the underwater camera later? Or are those fittings only on the DPR model?

Goldengate Plus 3D coming to USA?

Why do we not hear much about the Goldengate Plus 3D here in the USA? I'm thinking it runs on 12.5 kHz compared to the 17.5 kHz of the Holden King. Would that make it harder to detect fine Gold? The design seems closer to what the average American detectorist is used to handling than the...

"Ring Tabs Thru the Ages" Section?

'Just saw the BBC "Detectorists" show in which the local club has an "Open Day" ( similar to a USA Open House" it seems). Among the tables was one with a big label, " Ring Tabs Thru the Ages", showing a vast collection of what we'd call Pull Tabs. However, I haven't yet been able to find a...
