    That is great that you are keeping them…👍👍 Saving little bits and pieces of history! I have found several old thimbles while metal detecting around old house sites…..they are either brass or copper, but unfortunately mashed.

    With the hot and dry conditions in my area, I have recently started water detecting for the year. Yesterday I searched in the river where an old ferry crossing was and found some modern coins, a silver ring, and this old pad lock. I researched the company and found that they were in business...

    Me too John…. The range on the 800 only goes up to 40 whereas the newer Equinox series goes up to 99….same as my XTerra Pro.

I tested it with my XTerra Pro with the 5x8 coil on it and also checked it with my 800 with the 5x10 coiltek coil on...

    You are correct about that coil being a Spiral Printed coil and yes, it does glide through the water….in fact, the shaft has more drag than the coil does in my opinion on the Sand Shark.
