A question concerning search coils for the xterra elite/pro

I have both of the coils you asked about for my XTP, but have more time in with the 5x8. I mainly bought the XTP to use in the water, and for that the slightly smaller width of the 5x8 allows me to get in between rocks and other obstacles better. Where this really works well is in rivers I...

Very nice finds!! Any idea why this patch of woods has been so productive? Old homesite, or part of a park?

Always nice to find a first

Interesting find!!! I have heard about them, but never seen one found while metal detecting. Great sharp eyeball find!!!

Tough question for multiple machine owners.

Vaquero is what I would keep…. I have the high tone model and love it. I also had and liked the Eldorado which I had at one time, but eventually sold to finance another detector.

Initial setup on Tesoro Bandido II µMax to find clean ground for GB'ing.

In a nutshell.. switch to all metal mode, set the threshold to a faint hum, swing over the ground until you find a spot where the detector does not give a signal, then ground balance by lifting and lowering the coil over that spot and adjust the setting until there is no change in the threshold...
