    Initial setup on Tesoro Bandido II µMax to find clean ground for GB'ing.

    In a nutshell.. switch to all metal mode, set the threshold to a faint hum, swing over the ground until you find a spot where the detector does not give a signal, then ground balance by lifting and lowering the coil over that spot and adjust the setting until there is no change in the threshold...

    If they still work, I try to find the owner and return them. If the provider is shown on the screen, you can take it to the store and the folks there can find out who the owner is… another way is to see if they have any information in the “emergency” mode which can be accessed even if the phone...

    Anyone still using a Tesoro sand or tiger shark?

    I still have a Sand Shark, but have not used it since I got the XTP a couple years ago. I feel confident it is still water tight and holding up fine….no cracks in the cables and still works fine. I have found some nice gold with it too over the years.

    My ratio of gold to nickels is way lower than what yours is….in five years have only found three gold rings with my 800.

    I did the same thing a while back with the rings I have found. They read all over the scale… One year I found 423 nickels and surprisingly not one piece of gold.

    I was told a new model or variation of the Vanquish was coming out, but this is the first I have seen one. I know over my way, others are detecting the local swimming lakes as my buddy and I search….it has gotten worse over the last few years. Like you stated, it will be the same at the beaches...
