Does anyone what processor the Double score is using??? Speed compare to the legend....

Sounds like maybe you didn't understand which part of the question I objected to. I was pointing out no modern detector uses "in house" processors, which does make it a weird question. Unless STMicroelectronics or ARM are actually Nokta subsidiaries, in which case I stand corrected.

Does anyone what processor the Double score is using??? Speed compare to the legend....

I wouldn't trust a microprocessor designed by a metal detecting company, if they could build something better than Samsung/Intel/AMD then they would be in that business. That's a weird question anyways, do you expect the company to design and build the screen? What about the capacitors and...

I did this with mine as well, protects great but has a mean glare.

I found out why my Nokta Legend broke

I'm an EE and between work and projecting over my 20 year career I have never seen or caused an ESD damaged part, and I rarely bother with "proper" grounding. Can ESD damaged surface mount electronics? Sure. Will it? Almost certainly not.

Went to Bethany Beach Delaware today

Why do you feel you may need to do something differently, was the machine chatty? Do you feel like there were targets you missed?

Dont set your tone break too high!

Nice. I think I have mine set right at 11. Why back if off all the way to 7, I don't think you are likely to find many gold rings much smaller than the one you dug at 11.

Looking for the Nokta Macro bluetooth headset

So after looking at this I thought I would take a look at my old Motorola Buds (looks very similar style). I have tried 5 or 6 different head sets or ear buds, all without aptX LL and they have all been to delayed to be usable. I will note the new motorola buds are detached earbuds, but the...

Looking for the Nokta Macro bluetooth headset

And this complicates the process of buying 3rd party headphones as aptX LL is an older codec that was not widely implemented.

Now more Qs than As, EMI Hell Zone

What's it register when you take it off her finger?

Odd instance of totally defeating EMI.

I never really messed with the threshold setting. I noticed that it doesn't produce an audible tone until you get to 11 or 12. Is there a reason it's set for zero in all the modes except goldfield? Is it just a matter of erring on the side of caution for stability? Has anyone done any tests...

I had four lowers for my V3i for just that reason.

    New armrest and shaft weight

So you could swing the detector while holding a McDonald's quarter pounder and it would feel normal? I'm in.

    Legend settings?

That's been my question for every detector I have owned going back to the 80s. If you find the settings let me know in a PM.

    Coil damage?

I won't say it's impossible, but it seems unlikely that the board could produce enough current to physically defect the wire even if it dumped the entire battery into it all at once. Much more likely to pop something in the power circuitry of the board first.

    Coil damage?

Except for "smart" coils like with the Deus, there isn't much that can go wrong with a coil. It's a length of conductive wire epoxied into a specific configuration. If it passes QA, it should be good (barring significant physical damage) for many many years. So if you got a bad one it should...
