Meet the new XP DEUS II Gold Edition!

I wish they offered the same package but with the WS6 instead of the remote for $400 to $500 less. I use the HF2 coil with WS6 when I am gold prospecting at high altitude mountainous sites and in really rough terrain. The WS6 does not fall off the shaft mount nearly as much as the remote. Plus...

Minelab Equinox 900 or Nokta Legend?

Nox 900 using the 6” round coil. Legend using its 6” round coil and the LG24 small elliptical coil. All of the nuggets were sub gram pickers which is what these detectors are really good at along with specimen gold

Minelab Equinox 900 or Nokta Legend?

Found small gold nuggets with the 900 and Legend 1

Minelab Equinox 900 or Nokta Legend?

West Coast USA, East Coast USA or some other country for beach hunting? It matters. I have used the Equinox 900 at So-Cal beaches and I thought that was one of the strong points of the 900 along with gold prospecting with it in Arizona. Both places had moderate magnetite mineralization which...

Vanquish 540 question - Ground Balance

The Vanquish models have preset ground balance. They also have just a little bit of automatic ground balance happening in the background but it is not ground tracking. So how much Vanquish models can adjust to ground conditions automatically is very limited and is a by product of their...

    Got the legend..now some questions

BBS, FBS and FBS2 detectors did just OK here. Certainly better than other Whites SMF detectors and single frequency VLFs. But those earlier Minelab’s would lose target ID accuracy and start calling every deep coin sized target iron even at 6” depth no matter what tricks I tried. These newer SMFs...

    Got the legend..now some questions

Running higher sensitivity is probably just me and not the ground. I am going after deeper targets and I run detectors as hot as I can which means I hear some noise. Running lower sensitivity or lots of discrimination to obtain silent search conditions would also drive me nuts😊

    Got the legend..now some questions

Hi Stan, I am also in Colorado. I've been a Legend owner since it was introduced back in 2022. At least here in the Denver area, the Legend and the Equinox models and the Manticore and Deus 2 are all chatty just from EMI. These are very powerful simultaneous multi frequency detectors and they...

Anyone still using the racer or racer 2?

Yep, Gold Kruzer runs at 61 kHz. Legend single frequency or simultaneous multi frequency tops out at 40 kHz. I hunt in areas with moderate to very high magnetite mineralization. Legend running 40 kHz single or simultaneous multi frequency just purrs along on that type of ground effortlessly...

Oh, Oh.....NOX 600 Control Panel Failure :help:

You can use the charge cable hooked up to a wallet sized portable battery pack to see if it is your control pod or the internal battery. I use a 10,000 mAh 5V DC 1 A or 2A pack with USB ports as a back- up power supply

    All these testers

F75 never could handle the ground mineralization or EMI where I detect. MXT was more squared away but depth was 6” or less and target information was way off on low and mid conductor targets. 3” deep pull tabs would show up as quarters on the display here. AT Pro was a solid detector but had...

    CTX 3030 compared to Manticore

I breaking my own suggestion but I don't care. Sorry to momentarily hijack this thread. I would have done all of this in a private message but uploading photos is next to impossible in a PM. So, I am a pathetic tester and a nut job because I did not see a flaw in Legend 1 version 1.06 software...

    CTX 3030 compared to Manticore

Like I said, best thing to do is just ignore and move on.

    CTX 3030 compared to Manticore

I got your points in your other posts. You didn’t get one of mine. Most of David’s results for the way he is conducting his tests are not false. They are actually valid, repeatable and true for the conditions he is conducting them in. Do they apply to the real world from my own personal...

    CTX 3030 compared to Manticore

Instead of attacking tnsharpshooter, just don’t watch his videos. If you do watch them just realize he is showing detector behavior in an inert, air test only environment and the results he shows are definitely valid for that scenario and he is not going to back down from that reality. Do I...
