    Look for help on this item

    I dug this at a recent hunt on Fair Oaks farm, north of Culpeper, VA, an area that saw a brief vicious battle with a lot of artillery. Not sure if this may be a piece from a piece of that artillery, or what it is. The disc portion is 3/4" in diameter, and the leg that sticks out is 5/8" long...

    Interesting piece of brass.....

    This is brass, each numbered graduation is 1-inch apart and it's about 3/16" thick. When I pulled this out of the hole I discounted it as something from farm machinery, but would that have been brass? Any guesses? [attachment 53892 DIVVIIfinds033.jpg]
