Ring ID's in gold range but not marked

Dug two rings from a tot lot that IDs in the gold range on all my 4 detectors. The rings are NOT marked with any gold content. One has "SETA" marked on the inside band and the other is stamped "GERMANY". One is a faded goldish color and the other looks like it might be white gold???? Both rings...

F5 coil choice for 50 year old house demo lot

Thanks for the replies. As Monte suggests a mid sized coil would probably work best, just like it does in parks. The Magic 5x8 works great on the Teknetics Delta 4000 I use for quick park hunts, so I will put that on the F5 and I have a Cors Fortune 9.5x5.5 DD coil I will bring also--just in case.

F5 coil choice for 50 year old house demo lot

I am going to search a bunch of cleared lots that had late 60s-early 70s houses that were flooded in 2001. The flood control bought the lots and demo'd the houses and cleared the lots in 2005. So the houses only had about 30 years of use. It was a decent neighborhood so there might be some lost...

Does anybody have a favorite setting for finding Jewelry and coins in trashy parks and playgrounds with G2+?

Great information--I tested a small 14K earring on my new F19. It showed a 48 and on the 11 inch coil, I had to put it right on the coil for it to read. I know a smaller coil would be better to pick up smaller targets.

F19 best disc and V-break settings

Thank you. I tried the settings at a totlot this morning and was surprised at the nickels I found.

F19 best disc and V-break settings

For a trashy park that began in 1938 that has lots of the old type beer bottle caps, old beaver tail pulltabs and assorted junk from an old park, what would be good beginning settings for the V-break and disc setting on a new F19 owner? On my first outing I had set the V-break at 55 and the disc...

    F44 or Gamma 6000

My first outing with my new F19 at a park I have been to for many many years with at least 15 different detectors. The large tree I always search around I thought was pretty clean of targets. The 1964 nickel, the clean Zinc cent and the dog tag were right on top of the ground. The 4 wheats and...

    F44 or Gamma 6000

I decided on the Fisher F19. I also bought a Nel Snake DD coil 6.5X3.5. I bought the F19 on special and ordered it with the 11" DD coil since I didn't have that coil. I can use the 3 different size DD coils I already have on my F5, F22 and the F19

    F44 or Gamma 6000

I already have a 10" DD coil and just ordered a Nel Snake 6.5X3.5 DD coil as they will work on both the F5 and a F19. Looking on the Fisher website they have listing of four 11 inch coils that fit on the Gold Bug,F19 and F5 detectors. 11CoilF19, 11CoilF5F, 11CoilGB and a 11CoilFRL. The first...

    F44 or Gamma 6000

Thanks for the informative replies. I do have a Fisher F5 (w/10 concentric) and F22 (w/9 teardrop) and also an extra 10 elliptical DD and 8 round coil. I got with my local dealer and asked him to check on the F19 that is presently on sale.

    F70 version number

You are correct. I emailed fisher and got a reply. They only made one version.

    F70 version number

Didn't see in the manual or online, how to check the version number on the F70. Does anyone know how to check??

    F44 or Gamma 6000

I am interested in getting another Fisher/Teknetics that uses the coils from my already owned F5 and F22 . Has anyone compared the F44 against the Gamma 6000?? Which would be a better unit for park, schoolyard coin/jewelry hunting?

    F70 coil air test

Did an air test on 3 coils for the F70 and a F5 stock coil. The F70 coils tested were the 6.5X3.5 sniper, the 11DD stock, a NEL 12.5X8.5 and a F5 10concentric. Air tested a cent, a nickel, a dime and a quarter for the ID numbers and depth test. The F70 settings were Sens at 80, Disc at 15,and...
