    The 5020120 11.4 v2800 mah lithium pack fits good inside the 12 volt 8 aa battery pack but you have to use a razor knife to remove the grooves that hold the aa batteries in to make more room for depth

    Get the one with the plug and you will need a female adapter to put either into your battery pack or wired directly to your detector

    I like Zee or urgenex lithium batteries 3000 mah I used a vicmile 11.4v for the 8aa packs 2800 mah

    For the units that take 4 c cells yes 7.4 works good For the units that take 8aa batteries you have to use 11.4v as I also have made several of those for the 8aa packs but have to meet a thinner battery to fit inside the pack or wire a t plug directly to board and plug pack in

    I tried everything except clean the whole board on the eagle2 . Still freezes up screen but can get it to work by sliding pack in and out a number of times

    On another detector I soldered 2 wires to the board for power and added a t plug and can plug the lithium pack directly to the detector without the battery box

    I made it myself from a old whites rechargeable pack removed old nimh soldered in a 7.4v urgenex lithium pack. Much lighter than the nimhs and last much longer.
