    I just learned from the White's website that Carl is working on a waterproof TDI for White's. At least there is something to these rumors and Carl just confirmed them.

    Pulse Detecting

    As I see this hobby evolving, I see more detectorists using the pulse detectors for Park hunting and general detecting. In fact, after the last five hunts I have been one of the few that was using a vlf machine. I do not know about the rest of the country as I wonder if this is what is happening...

    Gold Spear

    Found this at a garage sale. Man told me his dad used it to prospect with. Called a rod with an electrical box on top a gold spear. Is this some type of hoax that was used on prospectors? If this is a metal detector, what size of an area can a person detect? Thanks for any help. Marv
