    I am thinking of getting a Detech SEF coil for my Toltec 80. Has anyone ever used an aftermarket DD coil on their Tesoro? Especially with any of the metered ID units.

    If i remember correctly,this also allowed you to switch coils between models. Coinstrike to Edge/Excel and vice versa.

    VLF/TR deep seeker discriminating ground canceling detector could anybody please school me on how to use it's a Garrett coin Hunter

    This is a VLF(very low frequency) all metal mode and TR(transmit/receive) discriminator. Best if using the all metal mode to seek a target and then using TR mode when determining if it's trash or treasure.

    It's for Sensitivity. Used in conjuction with the knob below it. Coarse/Fine. Not sure which is which,but seen this on an A.H. Pro website that has information and owner's manuals.

    Technetics MK 1 LTD

    Look for resistor R112(Sensitivity Resistor). It is rated at 180 ohm. Replace it with a 100 ohm. This is what was stated on a website that is no longer around. Hard to tell if yours already has it without opening it up. Best I can do to help.

    I stand corrected. Sensitivity either increases or decreases the sensitivity of the audio tone only in the GEB/DISC mode and Meter indications in all 4 modes.
